    This is exceptionally cool! Well done... In honesty, I myself haven't delved into the .mdl and .tex format. Please continue to keep me/us posted on your progress...

    Now with basic texturing !

    Attachment 21030

    I think it'll suffice for now.

    Next steps are :
    1) clean the code
    2) use this in the project for individual meshs
    3) use this with multi-mesh
    4) add a moving camera

    Michael, quick question, how the rotations are calculated?

    In the rog file you have stuff like Rotation = { x = 0.0, y = 180.0, z = 0.0 }, but what convention are you using? I tried with the usual Euler angle, but the result is not correct.

    For basic object position and rotation it's Euler using the MAX standard (Z is up and Y is depth -- I convert those at load to match Leadwerks, where Z is depth and Y is up). If you're talking about a motion state, then it is local to the object in question from its loaded orientation....

    I managed to find the issue : It was a simple radian/degree mixup .

    So, it's starting to be very interesting :

    Except that someone broke the controls !

    (everything else seems to be correctly positionned)

    PS: yes, I can move the camera in the scene

    Looking good!

    Not sure about the controls. To go from MAX to Leadwerks, I have to (for rotations):

    x = x
    y = z * -1.0
    z = y * -1.0

    And, I position before I rotate (although I do so in world space, so it SHOULDN'T make a difference). Only after everything is positioned/oriented correctly do I parent. Not sure if any of that will help or not--just FYI....

    PS -- Yeah, the radians thing has caught me out before

    The prerelease of Iris (0.4) is here !

    https://github.com/Enyss/RSSE/releases/tag/0.4.0

    Known issues :

    1) If you move the meshs, it doesn't update immediatly (you need to move the camera).
    2) Parenting is not considered (if you move a mesh, its children won't move)
    3) Materials textures are not yet taken into account (but it wont be hard, it's just a textfile). Buttons textures may be harder

    ToDo :
    - Enable AA because it doesn't do Michael art any justice (won't be as pretty in the game, but less eyebreaking)
    - Camera controls may be improved

    In addition to this, there is still some interface job to do
