Short Term SAN Suggestions (Until SAN is Properly Fleshed Out)

I like to use SAN to position myself so that my target body is in the 'prograde' direction, or close to it in an effort to prevent unintentional crashes. I do realize that you have plans for SAN beyond what is currently implemented. However, it might be useful to implement a key (perhaps the same one used to activate it...) to terminate SAN manually. This would be useful for those times when I need to 'fast forward' to some time further in my orbit that is less than the 180 minute current time limit, but greater than might be deemed reasonable to wait at 5x time compression.

I suspect that eventually you will have fully configurable SAN timers, but this will be useful in the interim. Hopefully it wouldn't be terribly difficult to implement.

Last I knew SAN represent the eventual "cold sleep" used for interplanetary travel
What you are asking is more of a time-acceleration control system, since it will probably be needed I think its worth asking that feature directly.

I expect that eventually he'll set it up so we can set how long we want to sleep for. My suggestion is meant for the interim period between now and whenever he properly fleshes out the SAN system and is meant to give players some ability to tailor the length of their sleep periods to their needs.

While Time Compression itself needs worked on, my machine cannot handle much more than 5x (I normally run at less than 20 fps). SAN as it is presently implemented is much friendlier to my system.
